Product Description

High-Efficiency Twin Screw Extruder for Air-Cooled Hot Cutting and Modified Plastic Granulation
COMPONENTS OF AN ALUMINUM EXTRUSION PRESS PRODUCTION LINE:

1. Billet Heating Furnace: Aluminum billets (raw material) are heated to the required temperature to make them malleable for extrusion.
2. Extrusion Press: A powerful hydraulic press that forces the heated billet through a die to shape the aluminum into the desired cross-sectional profile.
3. Handling System: Includes tools and machinery to handle and transport the extruded aluminum profiles as they come out of the press.
4. Cooling System: A system to cool down the extruded profiles, usually involving air or water cooling.
5. Puller: A device that pulls the extruded profile from the die to maintain the shape and speed of extrusion.
6. Stretching Machine: Ensures the extruded profiles are straightened and relieve any internal stresses.
7. Cutting Saw: Cuts the extruded profiles to the required lengths.
8. Aging Oven: A furnace used to heat-treat the profiles to achieve desired mechanical properties and hardness.
9. Finishing Equipment: Includes tools for further processing like anodizing, painting, or other surface treatments.


 

STEPS IN THE ALUMINUM EXTRUSION PROCESS:
1. Heating the Billet: Aluminum billets are heated to around 900°F to 925°F (482°C to 496°C).

2. Extrusion: The heated billet is placed in the extrusion press, where a ram pushes it through a steel die, shaping the aluminum into the desired profile.

3. Cooling: The newly formed profiles are cooled immediately using fans or water sprays.

4. Stretching: The profiles are stretched to straighten them and remove any distortions caused during extrusion.

5. Cutting: The long profiles are cut into specified lengths.

6. Aging: The profiles are heat-treated in aging ovens to improve their strength and hardness.

7. Finishing: Final surface treatments are applied as needed, such as anodizing, powder coating, or painting.
